Department Profile

The department is active with academic programmes throughout the year. Atleast two excursions per year for the students as per their curriculum. Local field visits are also organized on regular basis. Special lectures are also organized in the department by inviting reputed teachers in the related field. Smart classes are used on regular basis for interactive learning for the students. PPTs are used regularly in the classes while teaching. Departmental Seminar is organized each year. Student seminar is organized atleast once a month for each semester. Mentoring is done by the departmental teachers. Two Internal examinations are taken per semester one of which is Open book exam. Remedial and Tutorial classes are also taken on regular basis.

Course & Placement: The Department runs BSc Honours & General under the CBCS syllabus of Vidyasagar University, Midnapore.
