Departmental Profile

The Department of Economics at Belda College started functioning since 1963-64 academic year with the inception of General courses, and honours courses started functioning since 2005-06. On successful completion of the course, a student can seek employment in various public and private sector organizations. For a student in economics, job opportunities are plenty; teaching at school, college and post graduate levels, applied research in government and non-governmental organizations, fast growing private sector enterprises in trade, commerce and management, banking, government agencies and departments and Civil Services like the Indian Administrative Service and Indian Economic Service. We are striving hard to prepare the students for these opportunities.
