Departmental Profile:

The Department of Physiology started as a general course subject offering Pass course curriculum from year 2006 for the students who enrolled in their Honours course in Biological Sciences in Belda College. To fulfill this purpose, the Department of Physiology had two faculties. However, two more faculties joined the department in August 2019. A number of students preferably use physiology as their general paper. Physiology is a discipline which deals with the human physiological system and important lessons of human health and nutrition. It has direct relevance with individual health and public health concerns at large. Thus, this discipline has a major role in advocating and extending societal health benefit.

The syllabus for theory and practical classes as well as input from the faculties induces many students to go for nursing courses. The subject is also helpful for the students who preferred entrance examination like NET, SET, M.Sc. in other universities and jobs in school services. The department of Physiology is ready to open honours in physiology very soon. A certificate BMLT course will also be opened in this academic session (2020-2021). A research centre will also be opened with the help of different doctorate and post doctorate faculties of biological sciences (Botany, Physiology, Nutrition & Zoology).
